That would work fine the next time you adjust them let the engine cool down enough so you don't burn yourself then set the rockers to 0 lash hot to keep the noise down. if the rocker is too close to the retainer you can shim the rocker stand with a thin washer this makes the push rod shorter and restores the rocker geometry Boston Bob
