Jere, Flushing the radiator had done major benifits to the coolant system. The process of flushing has made me aware of how much friction affects the flow rate when the radiator is up front and the engine is in the back. I suspect the flow rate of water alone is more than two times that of a 50:50 mixture. So I wonder what would happen to that high speed fan that keeps kicking my AC off in hot weather if I could increase the coolant flow? just a thought, gary --- Jere Hawn <jbrschawn@earthlink.net> wrote: > Hi Gary, > > I am no expert on the cooling system only years of > trials and tribulations. > > I would first ask how did you get there, have you > owned the van and it > slowly acquired this problem or is this van new to > you and you are trying to > correct a perceived problem.... > > From my own van's experience when I replaced the > original thermostat and my > van started running quite a bit hotter.
