Subject: More oil cooler
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

OK, time to move the oil cooler. You'll remember that I removed my stock oil cooler and added an external cooler under the van. I think pretty much as a group we decided it wasn't a good idea and that I should have left the stock cooler and tapped the oil filter takeoff for the oil supply. The last straw on my original installation is that the oil lines come up beside the distributor and make it virtually impossible to change the timing. Got two questions. I need to buy a fitting that replaces the oil filter. Does the new fitting replace just the oil filter or the oil filter AND the fitting it mounts to? My other question involves plugging the bypass hole that Stan mentioned. I need more specific instructions on that. The bypass hole isn't in any of the pictures in my Bentley. Where is it and what do I plug it with?

Thanks for any help,

Skip Emmert-Keaton 1980 Westy <Ziegelstein>
