Hi all for those who care i think i have finally found the problem to my engine intermittent crappy running and hesitation. here are the things i found. 1 from the multi pin connector to the ECU i found that that the #3 injector was not getting power due to corrosion on the plug. i also found a intermitent connection on the connector to the coolant temp plug. i fixed the 2 into 1 pipe with new gaskets and it still ran like poop. still had a exhaust leak at the 2 into 1 pipe. found that the weld was bad on the inside of the "V" on the pipe so it leaked there a very small amount so out came the mig and welded that seam up to where it will be a cold day somewhere before it leaks there again. i also had another distributor that had a better 3 wire plug on it so i swapped out the distributor with the other. i tried timing it as per the instructions in the bentley but the last 3 numbers are on the dizzy are 205 K not D as perscribed in the manual. will this make a difference in the timing of the engine. if i line up that point on the pulley it has lost alot of power. the other thing is that if i just set it for total advancement and not at idle then the line up mark is way to the left of the case halfs. but it runs great and there is lots of power through the curve. is it best to set total advance or idle advance. of course this is with the idle stabilizer out of the loop. also can anyone tell me the difference from the 205 k or 205D this is for a 85 1.9L westi do they have different advancement curves?? thanks Jonce also i went to kevers today and picked up the expandable pushrod tubes. i took 4 but think i only need 2. c-ya Jonce
