I don't know why your all making this so complicated. NAPA here is Almonte gets me 1-1/4" "Green Stripe II coolant hose ! See my _Vanagon Items Forsale_ (http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/sales.htm) webpage (Coolant hose, 1-1/4 Green Stripe II, replacement & repair of 1.9 main metal coolant pipes, 28445 - $8.95/ft.) I've been using it successfully for years to fix the rusted out coolant lines on the 1.9 Vanagons. Cheers,
