I noticed that my VC is going bad (acts like a brake in not so tight parking lot turns) so I want to pull my drive shaft until I can get a replacement. I know that I should mark the driveshaft to make sure I put it back in the proper alignment, but I wonder if anyone has a good method for doing that. I was about to grab a dremel tool and score a mark on all four flanges but then I started thinking that the reason the shaft has to be aligned is for balance. Would such a mark have a significant effect on the balance? Any other ideas? Thanks Jeff 86 Syncro
