Hi Julia,

One thing that I've found makes a lot of difference in detailing is really cleaning your door jambs, vents, etc. When I clean my bus, people marvel at the detail and how "new" it looks. But really, I just put in just a little bit of extra effort to clean jambs, around window seals (wiping down the seals as well), vents, and even the front window seal (on the inside). Like a lot of people on this list, I really enjoy tinkering with, spending time with, and spending time in, my Vanagon. And of course, as with most things in life, if you want to move to the head of the class, all you have to do is just put in about 1% more effort and you'll stand head and shoulders above the crowd.

You gotta love that Vanagon enthusiasm! Have a great weekend detailing your bus. I'll be out in mine doing the same thing!
