Sounds about right to me. My "work" Vanagon still has playa dust on the dashboard from last year's Burning Man. 75MPH down the freeway just won't blow that sticky stuff away...

I believe the rule is

Washing the van = leaving it out in the rain

Cleaning the inside of the van = wait for a big wind and opening all doors and windows

Or perhaps this is too fussy for some of us...I'm thinking of Tim in San Jose in case he missed the reference.

As for house cleaning, you vacuum, dust, wash and next year you have to do it again. Why bother? Like making a bed or doing the dished in my opinion.
