Hi Frank !

Whatīs the point in replacing the engine because you think it might break ? Ok, if there is rattle and thump inside, big black clouds in the exhaust, big oil consumption or a "cross the nation trip" coming up but if it runs OK Iīd rather doubt the oilpressure gauge and try to get an oilchange ! Use some thicker oil, mineral if your bus is used to synthetic and so on and it might be a good idea to make sure you get a good quality oilfilter together with the oilchange, cheap filters might screw up things too Then drive on ītil something really has to be done if you donīt have backaces from sitting on a too thick wallet ;-)

This might not be a good suggestion if you really consider a rebuild though because a bent crank or seized pistons makes that harder ! Calle -88 Volvo engined Vanagon Mullhyttan Sweden
