Hi

The only problem IŽv experienced with the 90/130 bulbs is that they produce a little too much heat ! With lights as small as the Vanagon they could burn out fast and also , make the chrome and glass go yellowish wich makes the light less clear... And if youŽre really out of luck, the wiring melts, not so common on german as on japanese cars since their wiring is even thinner :-P Personally I prefer to use relays and thicker cables instead, with HQ 60/55 bulbs this really makes a difference even if that too could shorten the life of the bulb. ItŽs also important not to overload the system, if you put ten 55 w brights, the alternator might not be able to feed all and youŽll get worse light than with four or six ! And there is always the same drawback to exessive light - youŽll have to dim when meeting someone ...
