oh yeah, its "really corrosive" as some put it, yup, lost three of my fingers the other day when I spilled a beaker of the stuff.

I am forever replacing stainless steel vessels that I pour that water into, why oh why did no one at work tell me about how corrosive pure water is? Why did I have to learn it form a Vanagon mailing list?

BTW, water is conductive, even super purified water the stuff we call 18 M Ohm RO water, note the resistance per cm?, not very conductive mind you, but MEASURABLY conductive.

Measurements, actual experience, nice to have, but no match for some of the hooey posted on the list :)
