this afternoon I did a quick measurement of the cooling ability of the
Dometic 182 fridge in my '82 Westy.

The fridge had been cleaned (combustion chamber 3 years ago, fins on back
last year) and a small muffin fan installed that blows air down over the
interior cooling fins.

The fridge lit first try and the measurements were taken by an inexpensive
indoor/outdoor digital thermometer. The probe was hung in the fridge so that
it was in the middle of the fridge space. The fridge was empty and the
interior fan was running.

I have to say (again) that the bright blue LED swap (as suggested and
outlined by Mike D. in his post "Quick Mod : Blue LED for Refrigerator") is
a really worthwhile modification.
