I'm attempting to upgrade to brighter bulbs and bought a relay kit from a reputable dealer. I followed the instructions without problems until I got to the part where I have to access wires exiting the ignition. Both the kit's instructions and those I found at Frank Condeli's website tell me to splice and reroute yellow and white 12 gauge wires that exit the ignition. Unfortunately, the only 12 gauge wires exiting the ignition are red and black. No yellow or white. I attempted to use the red and black wires but without success. I'm not an electrician. I need specific instructions that work. Can anyone help? Your not reading MY instructions. No where in MY instructions on MY _Vanagon Headlamp Relay Upgrade_ (http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/hdltrela.htm) webpage do I say the "yellow and white 12 gauge wires that exit the ignition" The 12 gauge yellow and white wires your looking for come from the HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH to the fuse/relay panel ! Please read the instructions more carefully.
