As some may recall, I had this exact problem just a week or so ago. In my case, it wasn't the sensor that was bad but the connector had come loose. See if there's a blue plastic connector with a couple of wires (one white, the other white/blue) hanging loose over on the left side, probably around the coolant reservoir. It'll probably look pretty clean on the inside like it has just recently come loose -- mine did. The place where it goes is right under the A/C compressor (hard to see). Once mine was reconnected, the starting problem instantly vanished. It is causing the FI to flood the engine during warm starts. TEMiller Germain wrote: >My Westfalia 87 have a new problem since my mechanic did a tune up on it one week ago. When I quit the garage one week ago, I didn't have any problem to start the engine. When I took it this morning no problem to start it from cold. I drove for about 40 miles and stopped the van for 20 minutes. When I tried to restart it, no way. The starter was working but the motor didn`t want to fire. After many tries when the battery starting to died, I succeeded to restart it. The motor was running great as usual. After that, I drove for 10 miles and stopped for breakfest. The same story happened when I tried to leave from the restaurant parking lot. > >(Thank you to have read my funny english until here) > >Any idea what could be wrong? > >Germain |
