You are techcnically correct. BUT for all practical purposes here, liquids can not be compressed. For example: I can show you a motor were fuel leaked into a back cylinder. The owner tryed to start the engine bending the connecting rod like a pretsal. All because the LIQUID gas would not compress, unlike its vapor will. The ratios of compression is somwthing like 100 to 1, gas to liquid.
