Hello- Someone apparently tried forcing my vent window open, as there is a chip in the glass, numerous scrape marks, and the metal beam is badly flared. This makes it almost impossible to open the vent window, and a very annoying whistle/blast of cold air at speeds above 45mph. Luckily, the main window is totally functional, so its livable. That being said, how possible will it be to find that metal beam which divides the wing-vent window from the main window? I showed it to my mechanic, hoping it would be possible to bend the metal back to workable shape, he didn't think so. I assume removing this piece will render a spare door otherwise useless, but I don't want the rest of a door laying around. Does anyone know of a way to find just this piece? I guess I'll start poking around the junkyards. Thanks for any insight- Rob 87 Westy, Seattle |
