No expert here but it sounds like the hose from the hook-up to your sink is
blocked or at least not connected in some way. No electrical power is
necessary but you sure get a pressured stream when you are hooked up
properly. I don't have one but there is a pressure regulator which can be
installed at the connection point which will prevent your van lines from
bursting or leaking due to the pressure.
