Malcolm, I recall that Clausius and Thomson were driving in their vanagon when they propose the second law of thermodynamics. Might you recall them as neighbors, eh. Many happy miles and just remember the total entropy of the universe is increasing and it sounds like our vanagons are contributing more than their fair share.
