Subject:      How do you remove the seat from the swivel base?

Later this week I want to make a 2nd attempt of installing my Recaro seat in
my Syncro Westfalia.  It's my second attempt as I can not figure out how to
get the seat off of the swivelling base.  The seats that are in mine are
factory 'deluxe' seats with the high back and no adjustable head rest, to
slide the seat forwards you pull up on a bar that is on the front of the
seat where your legs are.  It goes forward, it goes back, but it doesn't
come off of track.  Is there is small 'safety' somewhere like on the
non-swivelling seats?
