Stan said: Get a Sony Digital Mavica model MVC-FD73... Stan, those are long out of production, the closest in the Mavica line now is the 200, uses either floppy or Memory Stick. I have both a Mavica FD81 (same as 73 but higher resolution) and a Canon 10D. I took several trips (trips = Vanagon content?) with the Mavica, even shot pictures for a small magazine with it, and I can tell you that although convenient, hauling a big bunch of floppies around can be a PITA. In addition to downloading to a laptop, there are several portable multi gigabyte hard drives available that are set up to download and store pictures on the road, widely used by the pro's. The current memory cards, running 512 meg to 1 gig offer a lot of storage, even when shooting at the highest resolution. With four 512 meg cards for my 10D I can store over 1,000 images at my highest resolution.
