You've pointed out from the begining that the current engine troubles may only be one part of a larger and more complicated problem.

Bravo - that's absolutely correct.

My comments are not about this, but rather the people on the list criticizing others' for how they spend their $$. Again, it's their $$ to be 'stupid' with or to give to whomever they please. It's personal.

And my reponse is "the van gets moving again" and then Larry can decide where he wants to go. Simple as that. The debate about vehicle choices, conversion, reliability and trip planning can happen another day. For right now, it's simply beyond the point.
