Ditto that on the MP40. It's a closeout model, I found it on sale at Best Buy for ~$120us *with* free basic installation. I bought two, as a matter of fact- one for the Westy and one for the Vanagon. It does well with the "always on" power situation of VW's (since you can turn it totally off), and I've yet to find a weak spot in the unit other than an awkward faceplate reattachment procedure.

Does CD text too, aside from the MP3 id tags.

Me likey very much. For the price and the features I was happy to stray from my hardline Blaupunkt-only-in-VW's stance.
