One & All,

I'm overwhelmed by the support and encouragement I'm receiving from our "community".

Although I don't have a engine solution identified yet, thanks to you ... I'm gaining confidence that one will be found.

Please bear with me while I sort out the responses and plan the next steps forward.

For now ... I wanted to post an update as to actions in place.

Replacement 2.1L Engine Search:

I haven't identified a engine solution yet.

I'm following up on a few possibilites that need to be clarified and qualified.

Most are engines with various degrees of unknown history, problems (compression issues, leaky heads, low oil pressure etc) or different configurations, like 1.9L.

SO PLEASE DO NOT STOP LOOKING FOR A POSSIBLE 2.1L DONOR ENGINE.

Current Engine Diagnosis:

It is possible that the current engine can be repaired and that option is also being pursued. Although the majority opinion at this point is that it might be cheaper to swap rather than do an extensive repair.

The heads are know to be marginal since the last piston change.

After Monday I hope to know more about the valves, pushrods, lifters, pistons etc.

Funds Accumulation:

I have been able to sell several items in the least few days and that has helped a bit.

Necky Kayak Solar Panels Custom Gary Lee Ladder Misc Camera lens and equipment Portable Radio Sony PDA Game Boy Etc.

I have a few more things to sell and will make a separate post on that subject shortly.

The community has been very kind and many people have sent donations to the "Keep the Road in RoadHaus" fund via PayPal at lchase@attglobal.net.

I'm incredibly touched by the generosity and support.
