Subject: Roadhaus Engine - My Take On It

I wasn't going to chime in on this one, but here goes.

I made a donation, and had absolutely no intention of posting that fact to the list. I didn't donate to glorify my name (I'm not suggesting that was anyone's motivation) - I did it to help someone who needs some help. I donated a little more than some. I am certain that others will donate far more than I have.

Larry's financial situation is not that important to me. He needs help. That is what struck a cord with me. Tell you the truth, I have been on the list for about two years. It wasn't until this thread that I EVER read a thread with the word Roadhaus in the subject line. I don't even recall visiting Larry's web site. Doesn't make any difference to me. There is a person in need and I wanted to help.

I ask only one thing of Larry: that he pass it on. I know little or nothing about Larry. However, what little I do know, it sounds like he is the kind of guy that will pass it on. That is the spirit that I wish this family of Vanagon owners would embrace. Pass it on.

I am confident that Larry will remember this experience (both the good and the bad) for a long time. I hope that the generosity he has experienced will far outweigh the bad.

I believe that Larry will pass it on.

I encourage all of you to do the same. Do something good, whether for Larry or someone else. Do it for no other reason than to do good. I'd be willing to wager that EVERYONE on this list has, at one time or another, been the beneficiary of help from a stranger. There is every chance that most of us have been aided by someone with less material wealth.

Pass it on.

Cheers, Bruce motorbruce
