I guess since I haven't posted in a long time I will answer the age question. I'm 42. I own a 1986 Syncro GL. It currently has over 250,000 miles on it. Its on its third engine. The first one was replaced by the original owner at just 15,000 miles. I am the second owner. I purchased the van in Alaska in 1990, while stationed in Anchorage. The second engine was replaced due to an oil pump or filter failure. It lost oil pressure on a summer day on the interstate. Major bearing failure resulted before I realized what was happening. My van sits most of the time now. I is in need of a tranny rebuild. It also has body damage from a tornado last year. I plan on cleaning it up and repainting it. It has been a very reliable vehicle. I don't know of many cars that would run 250,000 miles and look as good as my van does. |
