I can say that I have an '87 Westy Syncro TIICO that can travel comfortably at 80 mph while carrying GVW of 5500 lbs. and I can't see any negative consequence to increasing its stopping capabilities by adding larger, vented disc brakes to the front. And that's about it. Adding to this, I live in the Intermountain Region of the U.S. and do a lot of climbing and descending on almost all trips I take and this upgrade just makes good sense to me. No harm in the improvement Over time you will find quite a few links and references which discuss the benefits of this upgrade. The only requirement I know of, for this upgrade to be applicable to a van is having at least 15" wheels. Bob Stevens http://groups.msn.com/BobsPhotoShare http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tiico |
