I'm 37. I bought my first Vanagon in June 2002 with the intent to convert it to a TDI. I owned a 99 Passat but moved up into the mountains where it wasn't going to be as useful as it had been in the city, so I sold it. Would have kept it had it been a 4-motion. I had badly wanted a Doka Syncro but could never find an affordable one (I've since found that they just don't exist). I finally settled on this 87 Syncro GL which had two PO's. I named her after an obscure Austrian poet, Ingaborg Bachman. TDI conversion is about to commence. -Steven Dodson Kneeland, CA "Inga" the 87 Syncro |
