It looks like I will need to drop this list. I joined several years ago to find a home for a 1982 bus that I bought with a bastard engine. I was always hoping for a "I just got smashed and need a '82 body' post, but it never happened. It is really a solid body that is too nice to part it out on ebay. It looks like she is finally sold for cheap at a loss as I need the driveway. The buyer says he is gonna fix it but who knows. The new owner is to come get it Saturday, we will see. Age thing, I am 44 and bought my first bus in 1983? That is over 20 years bus ownership, and that original bus (71 westie) is curently in my garage suffering for time/ money disease. I have spent a fortune in rust repair. It needs paint and reconstruction but I have no idea when that will happen. I drive a 69 westie now that is running on an engine I built, but is sadly rusting away. I have also had a 67 deluxe rust bucket driver. Bye and thanks for the ride. I will still be on the type2 and vintage lists. |
