The cheapest way to lower your front without cuttiing is to replace the taller '85 Springs with a pair from a 80-84. I went just the opposite direction with my '82 Westfalia- I went to the '85 Westy springs to gain 2" ground clearance. My Westy was formerly a Diesel, and my front end was low.
