Be careful. Not all 90-91 Jetta's have a true turbo diesel engine. My 91 Jetta is an ECOdiesel which has a low pressure turbine that is there to put a little more air in the engine for cleaner burning. 7 HP gain over a standard 1.6L diesel. High pressure turbines have a boost enrichment valve on the injection pump and a pop-off valve to relieve intake air pressure that are not found on the ECO version. The high pressure turbo charged engines put out 69 HP. Those 10 horses make a big difference. TEMiller Mark Cumnock wrote: >Just look for a 1990-1991 turbo diesel jetta > > > > |
