Age- 34 VW history: I got hooked at the age of 4 when my Teeney Bopper Aunt was dating my to-be-uncle. He had a red 72 Super Beetle. After they were married he worked for a dealership as a mechanic and then for VWoA as a emissions test engineer. We got to ride an many VWs including Vanagons. I bought my first at the age of 26, it was a 65 Westy. Since then I have owned a 68 Westy, 70 Westy and a 71 Westy. Those have either been sold or parted out. My daily driver is a 1985 Vanagon GL that I am molding into the best camping/utility/all purpose vehicle I can. I also bought a 75 Adventurewagen that I will be picking up in June. I never owned the bug I once wanted... I have been hooked on these funky rear engined, slow as molassas, boxes on wheels. I have yet to look back and regret it. -Dawn in Toledo, OH ===== 1971 Westy 1975 Adventurewagen 1985 Vanagon GL Buskatiers- http://www.buskatiers.org/ Full Moon Bus Club- http://fmbc.carltonandadams.com/ Michigan Vintage VW Club- http://mvvc.net/ Not-A-VW Club- http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jaransont3/notavwclub/
