Porsche powered Westy Wolfsburg in '85. My sweetie (now my wife) and I discovered the joys of Westy camping in the parks of Florida where we settled down to raise a crop(2) of kids. When the kids started growing and needed hauling around, my wife said "why don't you get a new VW camper?". I didn't need any convincing. We bought a new white '91 Multivan (White Lightning). We drove north every summer and camped around the Great Lakes 'til we finally moved up here. It's my daily driver and Ultimate Campin' machine. We love to explore Canada and the lakes. It's great for weekend music fests, van gatherings and ham radio swaps, campouts and field days. Lightning has 160,000 miles on her and runs like new most of the time. I love this van.
