First step is to test/replace the pressure cap. Also, make sure the coolant ratio is the proper 50/50 mix. If the water pump failed causing a loss of coolant, both the pressure cap and thermostat may be damaged. If the problem persists, you may be getting combustion gasses into the coolant.

Hi y'all I am back. My '88 Weekender start coughing up its coolants after its warmup and engine turn off... I recently replaced its waterpump. I tried the radiator bleeding method from the manual and it s still coughing up the coolant. I tried filling up the cold radiator and bleeding the entire system. But it still coughs up the coolant... What is the real problem? and remedy? Thanks in advance for any help or tip...
