Age 62

Have owned a number of VW products over the years. First one was a '52 beetle. Others include a '58 beetle, a '58 walk through panel van (cargo doors on both sides), a '64 bus, a '65 convertable, a brand new '72 beetle, an ocelot dune buggy, 2 '84 vanagons and a 1985 westy.

I've had my current '84 since 1991 and the '85 westy since 2002. I also have a '58 frogeye sprite and driving the westy then the frogeye is a real step down ... so to speak.

I will have a westy until I can no longer drive and, considering that I have no health problems, that may be a while.

I was born and raised in Texas, spent 22 years in the Navy (Submarine Sonar Tech and Diver), lived in Hawaii for a total of 35 years and moved to Maine in '99.
