Well being a day late & a dollar short I missed this post... Had a good excuse though! Yesterday was my b-day.

I am now 42. I'm thinking something is amiss here though & would like find the SOB that stole the 21 year old I used to see when I was shaving in the morning! Too much gray and the beggining of my Grandpa droopy jaw line. I suppose it should happen and soon since I am also a grandpa!

My VW experience was mainly as a bug passenger. My folks had several as I was growing up. One of my grandpa's also was a VW fan. He was a tree faller here in the PNW and used a bug instead of a 4x4 to get up the mountain! He could take that thing just about anywhere!

My first VW was all the way back in 1999 & it was a 73' Westy that sat in a field for about twelve years as a rodent condo. It was all I could afford after my divorce and an absolute blast to restore!

I now drive an 85' weekender. I am currently debating what to do with it. It is rusty and I'm not sure I want to go through all the pain of doing things the right way to remediate the rust (full body media blast and cutting out the cancer etc...)

Anyway, that in a nutshell is me and my dub.

Cheers, Brian
