So I enjoy reading my list email each day, not only for the interesting anecdotes and 'entertaining' personalities (ahem); but also for the wealth of information on what can go wrong with these vehicles and, in particular, what can be done to fix them. I also enjoy my Vanagon (most of the time) but Jeff, if you're telling me that one of the performance and/or design issues with these things is that they can age you 11 years in just under two years I'm gonna get rid of the damn thing quick.

Come to think of it, as often as these things need their TLC, I suppose they could put the years on ya... or at least feel like it. Maybe that accounts for the 'senior slant' to the demographics of this list?

All in fun, Robert
