Volks, On the way to work this morning good ol' Ziegelstein decided to stop running. As I coasted into a parking spot, I remember that I met this guy in Boynton Beach here so I pulled out his card. $37.00 later (and a tow to his shop) I'm back up and running. Here's the really cool thing.... the owner of the shop, John Forbes, has a 1982 Vanagon, it used to be a diesel, but he put a 6-cyl Porchse engine it and hasn't regretted it one minute! So, if you're in South Florida and need a shop, I really do recommend these fine folks: Black Forest Racing 1208 Georgia Street Delray Beach, FL 33444 (561) 272-1275 John Forbes, Factory Trained Mechanic, Porsche Specialist It was nice to finally find a shop where they know Vanagons and have actually done an engine swap. Even nicer for me since it's not more than 15 miles from my house (which is the limit of my free towing with USAA). Add this one to your list..... -Robert Piloting: Ziegelstein Lost, '91 Carat, Automatic, 147500 all original
