Hey, why don´t you try ? I´m struggelin with my Volvo conversion, some other folks on the list have their small (insanity) projects going, A Vanagon with the DAF ( or Honda and Ford too I believe ) package could be - interesting I know Volvo did put the trans in the 340 line together vith a 1.4 liter engine from Renault and I´ve driven one of those..... What a drag....once you pop the throttle they peak and then stay at maximum rpm´s until you shut it off earplugs required But they are darn fun, they will go 75 mph both forward and in reverse The major problem ( besides the noice ) is that whatever the manufacturer sais they loose a lot of power on the way to the rear wheels I´d rather vote for the a regular automatic tranny !!! ( actually have one in my Volvo 745
