I'm 48 and have had four VWs. I had a 70 Bus which a LARGE oak tree fell on and crushed. I had a 70 Super Beetle, dark green with a black interior (fun to drive but terribly hot in the southeastern summers). I had an 84 Vanagon which my son now drives and I now have an 87 Vanagon with 241,000 miles. Before those VWs I had two Opels (the German ones), a 69 Kadett and a 74 1900 Wagon.
