MMO won't hurt your engine. You can run it 300 miles or 3000 miles as an additive. The only warning is that if your engine innards are really dirty its going to loosen all that (a lot of it) and it's going to fill your filter pretty quickly. You oil pressure could actually go up because you're pumping sludge (your filter has a bypass, if the filter stops up it is bypassed). In 99% of the uses the engine isn't in that bad shape so extreme problems aren't anticipated.
