Volks,

Request .... if anyone wishes to respond to this posting, please email me privately.

I'd rather not clog the bus lists with additional traffic.

My intent here is to update the large number of folks that have been incredibly helpful and encouraging.

Things are progressing well in getting the "Road back in Roadhaus".

Last night a used, possible replacement engine arrived.

I'm moving forward with the final diagnosis of the problems with the current engine.

So far it looks more top end than bottom end related.

The Bus is in a garage now and final solution decisions are progressing rapidly.

Although an incomplete list;

I would like to publicly extend extreme gratitude to:

John & Maria Jones ... the orginal owners of Roadhaus aka "Sprudel .... Very touching support and encouragement. Steve Delanty ... Provided a used engine for a very reasonable cost. Benoit Huot ... Incredible assistance (offered to fly in, help install, looked for an engine etc) Phil Zimmerman ... Drove 18-20 hrs roundtrip to pick up and deliver the Used Engine and lots of diagnostic help etc Robert Donalds of Boston Engine ... Technical assistance Curtis Long .... Another Brother that gave incredible assistance Ken Wilford at Vanagain.com ... Discounts on Parts and any other way he could help Peter Jones of Volks Cafe.com .... Discounts on Parts and any other way he could help Ron Salmon at Bus Depot .... Discounts on Parts and any other way he could help Frank Condelli & Associates ... Offerred any help needed Jeff at vanagonparts.com ... Everything from parts to engines. Impressive Guy. David Marshall at Fastforward.com .. Engine for sale and any other way he could help Karl Mullendore at Westy Ventures .... Offered a loaner engine, install help, great adviuse and sounding board Susan Dolvin of Westfalia Acres.... A place to camp, great contacts, suggestions and to many other things to count Loren Busch ... Helped search for engines, contact and anything else needed. Brian Tipsword ... Tried to move mountains to help William Barley ... Offered to drive up from Phoenix and help install a new engine Steve Best ... Offered to donate a used engine Markus Benne ... Offered to donate a used engine Jon Seymour ... Offered to donate a used engine Seth Hatfield of H&R Motors ... Offerred any help needed Stephan White of Stehpan's AutoHaus in Sacramento, Offered to donate a used engine Mark Drillock ... One class act ... that has helped in so many varied ways Eric Abercrombie ... Offered wonderfully varied assistance David Bowers ... was willing to build a commercial web site for any business that would donate an engine Britt Grannis ... offered to have Road Cow tow RoadHaus any where in the country (That's an image worth pondering) :) Scott at turbovans.com ... Reasonably prced used engine for sale

The scores of other folks that offered everything from pulling an engine out of a spare bus, to diverting new engines waiting for install, to offering used engines that were pulled for conversions, to good heads to misc parts to assistance for an R&R engine install etc.

The 127 other folks that offered public and private encouragement, assistance and incredible inspiration.

A special thank you to the ~1/2 dozen folks that were very critical of me, the trip and the current situation.

While I would have preferred a more positive expression of opposing view points,

EACH AND EVERY PERSON offered either a donation of some sort, a lead on parts or well wishes for a good outcome.

This is an incredibly diverse community, with differences of opinion that in the end desires a positive outcome.

Incredible in my humble opinion.

For reasons that I will attempt to articulate at a later date, is it very important to me to be able to continue on this adventure for a little longer.

Because of all of you, it's a possiility.

"The Roadtrip Will Continue"
