Hey John, As I recall there are four bolts that hold the AC bracket to the case. Unfortunately, the two towards the front of the car are under the manifold runner, so you will need to remove that if you want to remove the AC bracket. Besides that, no issues. No gaskets or seals. Just dry mounted on the case. Z John Rodgers <jh_rodgers@BELLSOUTH.NET> wrote: Anyone have any suggestions as to howe tho get this beastie loose so it can be pulled??? I need to make a repair on the bushings for the bolts that hold the AC compressor in place. Someone in the past screwed them up bigtime, and I have left it untouched until now. But I need to work on the system, remove the compressor for re-working of the mounting ears on the compressor case, and some other stuff. Can't budge the bolts holding the compressor to the mount bracket. So, thought I would just remove the entire thing as one assembly. AC compressor, cast mount bracket and all. Is there anything under that bracket I need to worry about. Is it just surfave mounded or does it have a gasket under it and seals something. Am I opening a can of worms?? I need to get the system repaired and serviced before it really gets hot here so I'm getting on it. Any info would be appreciated.
