The Terk SIR5 is a marine antenna, but is fairly popular with RV'ers installing a Sirius receiver. It can be mounted to a variety of surfaces. It provides an excellent signal. It is my experience, BTW, that the little panel antenna in the mobile kits does need to be placed on a metal surface for optimal signal. My guess is it was designed to use the metal around it as a passive "reflector". It will still work if placed on fiberglass, but you've got to figure out how to get it to stay. The antenna that comes with the "home" kits does not require such, and in fact, you might want to look at it as an alternative. -fedl |
