Hi All! I need to replace the flexible rubber brake lines on my '85, and I really want to use those nice stainless braided lines. They are available for many street cars, including most front-wheel-drive Volkswagens. I have had them on a Golf, a Jetta, and a Quantum in the past and think they are great. Finding them for my Vanagon is proving to be a problem. -Martin Schneider Design Systems (MSDS) used to have them, but didn't reply to an e-mail I sent them. They no longer list them on their website. -Goodridge, a manufacturer, apparently still makes them, but I'm not aware of any US vendors. The company has not returned an e-mail. -Precision, a manufacturer, might make them, but has not responded to an e-mail. -None of the Vanagon list vendors that I'm aware of carry them. One vendor had them in the past, but no longer does. So, would someone out there embrace Capitalism and take my goddamned money? Please? I prefer stainless fittings and DOT-spec if I have a choice. Thanks, Alex |
