Ben, you should replace those barss cups with titanium and reduce your GPW. However, howmanyofus have had the opportunity to weigh our conveyances fully loaded with barss cups and so on? On a recent toodle over to Moab, I happened across a weighing station that was accurate to +- 10 lbs. Syncro Westie w/water 6Gal Extra gas camping and fishing and fotography stuff and a bunch of my sister's things in a couple of boxes. Feller said the scale was Utah certified and so my 5640 total weight indicates that I should cut back on gummibaren, drill holes in the rotors, run H2 in the tires and leave the cast iron dutch ovens at home. What did the scales say about your vanagon?
