I thought the Hall Effect sensor produced the timing
for creating the spark, not the injection pulses. Am I
wrong then?
Or maybe it triggers both injectors AND spark (via
coil) all by controlling the ECU which controls both
spark and injectors? So you're suggesting testing it
by listening to the injectors (while disabling the
spark for safety purpose)?
Anyway, the problem occurs irregularily, and by the
time I've disconnected the coil and turned the motor
manualy it might have been solved by itself.
I need to analyze the problem immediately without
touching anything.
BTW, wouldn't turning the motor manually be physically
difficult? What would you recommend? I thought an open
wrench on the main pully would do. Any better idea?
