Interesting, i do remember when i replaced my old Bilsteins with newer Bilsteins on my 2wd 85'....My newer ones had larger piston rod/shaft diameter, AND instead of a standard nut at the end of the shaft, they have a hex nut that reguires an allen key to fasten it. I purchased them from an offroad supplier out west so i MIGHT just have the "heavy Duty" bilstein instead of the "touring class" ones. They certainly are a stiffer ride than my older Bils. I might have a part number in my files, i can match them to that website.....but later Phil
