That's exactly the procedure my VW dealer takes: replacing everything in sight until the problem goes away (or I have a new car...). I was looking for an analysis method to pinpoint the reason of the problem, and to replace just what's needed. The fault is intermittent and hard to analyze in the garage. Also, it doesn't seem the coil is getting hot because as I mentioned, this problem occurs after a few minutes of driving too. Maybe it's even a combination of problems (AFM+something else), making it twice as hard to analyze logically. I'll try putting a monitor to the spark as well as AFM output voltage and see who's the culprit... but thanks anyway. cheers. TM |
