A couple months ago I was looking into the Bilsteins, and also saw the two different "touring class" and "heavy duty" shocks... I gave Bilstein a call directly to ask them about the differences. They said that the "touring class" ones were designed to replicate the ride of the original factory shocks, and that the "heavy duty" ones were stiffer and could take much more abuse. Almost more importantly to me, they said that the "touring" line had an expected life span of 50k miles vs. 100k+ w/the "heavy duty". still haven't bought either of them though. hope this helps. cheers, -James '83.5 Camper _________________________________________________________________ Is your PC infected?
