http://www.paragonperformance.com/volkswagenbrk.html I have delt with this place in the past they made a set of brake hoses for my Saab 99 turbo, I sent them an old set of lines, and they took measurements made me a custom set, and because it was a new aplication I got 50% off the price. Good lines, and a great deal, Maybe they will do the same for the Vanagon. If I had a spare set of hoses I would give it a try. David

I need to replace the flexible rubber brake lines on my '85, and I = really want to use those nice stainless braided lines. They are = available for many street cars, including most front-wheel-drive = Volkswagens. I have had them on a Golf, a Jetta, and a Quantum in the = past and think they are great. Finding them for my Vanagon is proving to be a problem. -Martin Schneider Design Systems (MSDS) used to have them, but didn't = reply to an e-mail I sent them. They no longer list them on their = website. -Goodridge, a manufacturer, apparently still makes them, but I'm not = aware of any US vendors. The company has not returned an e-mail. -Precision, a manufacturer, might make them, but has not responded to an = e-mail. -None of the Vanagon list vendors that I'm aware of carry them. One = vendor had them in the past, but no longer does. So, would someone out there embrace Capitalism and take my goddamned = money? Please? I prefer stainless fittings and DOT-spec if I have a choice. Thanks, Alex
